...occupied by Bruce, who seems to be the most wholeheartedly daring of the bunch. This does not mean to say that I haven't seen each and every one of these guys dancing around the rafters at one point or another. Bruce just seems the most wide-eyed, yip-yow enthusiastic about it.

In this photo, I'm standing on the top level of the house, which would put me up some fifteen feet or so. As you can see, Bruce is well above me. Unlike where I'm standing, that entire space is quite empty below him. His job is to guide the beam into place while the other guys push from below. (Those would be the really heavy beams.)

Just another shot to indicate exactly where this happy madman is. That's a thin, wobbly catwalk that he's perched on. As we were leaving, we saw him hanging on BY HIS FINGERTIPS to the beam they'd just installed, his feet braced on the ceiling, presumably to clamp the beam in position so that it could be nailed into place.

These guys never cease to amaze me!
