While the plumber was working, Dad and I were busy too. We made a nice bench seat for the window in the greatroom. It's got its own lighting so it will be a wonderful reading nook.

Not that we'll ever get to sit on it. As I've mentioned before, the dogs will claim it immediately.

It looks a bit rough, but the wood won't actually show. I'll be making a pad for it, and a curtain will drape the front. We're planning on storing our video collection underneath.

The best part is, we can take it out with the removal of a couple of screws. Why would we do that? Because this window is prime Christmas tree real estate. One month a year the dogs will just have to live without the bed. They'll probably get presents though, so they won't mind.
