Our closet in the master bedroom is bigger than some rooms I've lived in. It's been lovely to have enough room to organize. All of our regular clothes and our SCA garb fit in here with room to spare. The shelves are Ikea finds and we love them.You can see everything at a glance. No more shirts buried at the bottom of a drawer until it's out of style.

A little prettier now. What you're not seeing is the massive four foot long splash of Minwax One-Step Stain/Polyurethane (classic oak) on the carpet.

I left that out.

Yep, I dumped a whole brand new quart on it--well, except for the miniscule amount that I'd just painted onto the baseboards. Let me assure you, however that the entire remaining contents of that can are even now bonding permanently with my carpet.

I put it on the shelf so it would behave itself, and it jumped off, popped its lid, and BLAM! Time to call the flooring company. It was just rude.

So much for doing the room cheaply. Good thing we still have leftover carpet in the basement...
