Laundry Room
The laundry room got a little complicated because a massive duct had to run up through the corner. I wanted a utility sink in there, but because of the new layout issue it wasn't looking good until I discovered these stackable units. Now they take up one side... |

...and my lovely messy sink takes up the other. I've made a point of not scrubbing it too thoroughly. I mean, it's clean, but I figured if I spent too much time scouring out every paint spot, I'd be too obsessed with keeping it sparkling. I figured it wasn't a bad idea to let it get kind of beat up right away so I wouldn't worry about it so much. Now it LOOKS like a utility sink. | |
Hard to see in the photo, but I finally got around to painting this room too. (It's blue. I mixed up some leftover paint from two other rooms and got a nice shade.) I was extremely clever to have painted it last, but I can't take credit for that. It just worked out that way--no conscious thought involved. This is the room where I clean painting equipment every time I finish a room. As a result, each and every color has been splashed on these walls. This time, the only paint splashes match the newly finished walls. Now as long as I never paint ever again, I should be fine. Oh, this is where Felix the Roomba lives too. I am somewhat embarrassed that I'm personifying a vacuum cleaner, but I feel very close to him because he's so helpful. |
