Fortunately, I had something better than professionals. I had Dave, who heroically volunteered to give me a hand. He ended up doing all the cutting and the lion's share of the work--even though it put off his vacation by a couple days. He's wonderful, he's my hero, he's Actual Size.

JoAnne also helped out. She made sure whatever tool we needed was always in our hands so we didn't have to keep getting up and trundling all over to retrieve them. She laid out boards and brought us food. My Mom brought us a wonderful lunch on the first day, and we used tools borrowed from my Dad and Stephen. A big heartfelt thanks to everyone. We couldn't have done it without you.
Here's a quick shot at around midnight on the second night when we finally finished. It was an eighteen hour job, done mostly in one day. We're in a fair amount of pain, and we're all very tired. Thank goodness we have excellent insulation. None of the neighbors complained that they could hear saws running until all hours of the night.

Just an amusing anecdote I'd like to share. I wasn't pleased with the shipping company that brought my flooring. My order was late. When it arrived, a portion was missing. When they delivered that, it wasn't my order. (I called to tell them that I had someone else's, but they don't have an answering service so I'll have to call on Monday.) On top of all this, I suggested they not send a large truck to our dinky little road because it might get stuck. The dispatcher told me she'd forgotten to tell them, but had decided not to worry about it.

So, here's their truck jackknifed across my neighbor's driveway, and the tow truck sent to retrieve it. (This incident apparently occurred right after they delivered the wrong order to our place.) I feel for the driver, but I can't really say I'm too upset about the inconvenience to the company. They certainly gave us enough of a runaround.
